Wildlife Nature getaways Puget Sound
Wildlife Nature getaways, Puget Sound area are even richer in opportunities than the Pacific NW in general. We created a large collection of wildlife, marine creatures, birds and waterfowl photos in one short cruise. All the photos were taken with the (incredibly out of date) digital sophistication of an Apple 6 phone.

Activities available - kayaking, photo shoots, fishing, solitude/reflection, birding, crabbing, clamming, hikes, beach exploration and customized options like, Massage, coaching services, Family Constellations.

Currently all the boat, nature, outdoors and general photographs found on this site were taken with this same cell phone. The one exception are a couple of drone photos that a guest took of the boat.
​
What does all this prove you might well be wondering. That the range of natural scenic beauty and wildlife is so great and close by that even a point and click camera captures how close and surrounded one is by all the alive beauty.
​
Wanting to capture the range of opportunities that surround us on the boat pretty much provided the excuse and rationale to again acquire photography equipment that would cover the full range of daily photo shoot opportunities that circle the boat.
​
A video of a harbor seal surfacing with a large wriggling salmon clutched to its’ chest would have been highly amusing. Why? The seal lay on its back consuming the fresh sushi while eyeing the woman in the cockpit with a fishing pole. The implicit challenge and unspoken dialogue was obvious as the seal drifted closer and she continued to cast for other salmon jumping near the boat.

When we are quietly observing nature from onboard we regularly have diving birds swim and surface within a few feet. Underway we regularly see porpoises alongside or riding our bow wave if we are moving fast for some reason. While Orca’s tend to keep a respectable distance. We frequently encounter strange collections of marine creatures taking advantage of floating debris and deadheads in a host of offshore locations. Being on a boat we are frequently able to glide by these displays at close range.

Something that is far simpler to do from the water than the land is to enjoy panoramas of mountains or ranges with an open foreground. Reflections, sunrise and sunset colors tinting the snow caps these are all regularly enjoyed opportunities when we are cruising or at anchor throughout the Puget sound area.

You might simply want the opportunity to get dropped ashore at a storm strewn beach littered with a vast array of driftwood and flotsam. Likewise a quiet deserted location is not uncommon for our Wildlife Nature getaways Puget Sound area.

Should you wish, we have drybags for your gear and kayaks that you can utilize to explore shorelines and other areas at your own pace. Depending on the length of time you choose to spend aboard you might opt for enjoying the late sunset summer hours of twilight or the protracted sunrises that are a hallmark of the Pacific NW summers.
Meals – We provide non-alcoholic beverages and a light snack. We also provide dinner during your overnight rental unless you prefer to be shuttled in our dinghy to a restaurant on shore (when available). We provide a light breakfast prior to checkout. You are welcome to contact us to discuss additional requests you might have. You are also welcome to bring food and refreshments of your choice with you.

Concerning the Weather - The best laid plans are frequently changed by the endless localized weather conditions found throughout the Puget Sound area. It is not surprising to find rain or fog in one harbor while a few miles away there is sunshine. If you have spent time in and around the Puget Sound on a boat you already know this. Our suggestion to guests, repeats what most outdoor clothing advice is for the Pacific NW -bring layers, and expect change. In the boating world it is safe to add “expect moisture”

Generally speaking we watch the weather patterns for your Wildlife Nature getaways Puget Sound and if the conditions are not conducive to your desired plans, we make adaptions. Such is the nature of boating, not just in the Puget Sound but most anywhere you deal with large bodies of water.
