In review there were interesting synchronicities. We found the boat on my birthday, we bought the boat on Jamila’s birthday. We did our first voyage on Nuna’s birthday. Interesting things occur when you decide to take a chance on yourself and pay attention to the information the universe around you is freely supplying.

November was warm enough that we wasted no time getting the boat into the water and grabbing a window of settled weather. The Puget Sound offers so many routes to anywhere that we were able to enjoy a smooth warm ride through Skagit Bay and Saratoga Passage on the flybridge for hours.
As the miles flowed beneath the keel it triggered memories of how many new beginnings, journeys of whatever nature bring not only change but the increased awareness and gratitude for the excitement that one can create for themselves. Life is the adventure we create. We are often happier talking about what happened to us, it relieves us of taking full responsibility for the totality of what we create and do on a daily basis.
When you sell your home and pull up the roots that anchor you to a specific location it offers you an inflection point in your life. What do you really want? New job, new friends, new vistas? Oft times it is an awareness of what isn’t harmonious, doesn’t instill passion and aliveness. Either way, creating major change in whatever form – conscious or not creates openings for discovery.
I no longer wanted to wake up to the same windows, the same views, even the comfort of knowing what came next in a daily routine.
How do you determine or know when the routine and comfort are no longer serving your best interests? How do you embrace leaping into the unknown? These seemed worthy of discussion as we watched the scenery and navigation markers sail by.
